Jiu Jitsu means “the gentle art”. It’s “gentle” in that there is no striking (punching or kicking) involved. Jiu jitsu is a submission wrestling art that utilizes chokes and joint locks to help subdue opponents, even if they are much larger.

Are you looking for a great way to get in shape without spending time in packed gyms waiting on equipment? Then come to Tier 1’s Cardio Kickboxing & MMA class. Train like the pros with functional, performance-based workouts. No matter if you’re looking for self-improvement or training for an upcoming fight, this class will benefit you!

Our youth classes are a curriculum-based martial arts program designed to instill self-confidence and increase self-esteem in your child, while learning the basics of self defense and mixed martial arts. With this class, we aim to build well-rounded young adults. Their learnings in the gym will greatly transfer to their school work, home behavior, and personal development. (Ages 10-13)

At Tier 1, kickboxing is open to all experience levels. Classes will consist of bodyweight exercises, core strengthening techniques, skipping rope, drills, shadowboxing, and sparring.

No matter if you are interested in learning self defense, pursuing a career in mixed martial arts, or simply want to develop as a martial artist, our MMA-based curriculum program led by UFC veteran Isaac Vallie-Flagg is for you!
